Course Overview

In this current challenging business environment, employing the right individual for the organisation is crucial. Hiring the wrong individual will not only impact the cost of operation, but also the morale, productivity, and efficiency of the organisation. 

Critical to employee selection are the interviewing and selection processes. Using competency-based interview and selection techniques help to zoom in on applicants’ past actions and behaviours, relative to the competencies or skills required for the job. Through this method, hiring is more structured and focused, thereby avoiding guesswork, personal bias and discrimination.

To help participants understand how to apply structured, competency-based interviews and select candidates based on relevant information gathered.

Yeo Keng Kiat

Keng Kiat has over 30 years of extensive experience working in global multinational corporations in the IT, manufacturing and financial industries. He held leadership roles in People Operations, Learning & Development and Organisational Development for over a decade, driving strategic and operational programmes in employee & industrial relations, talent management & succession planning, employee engagement, professional development, and corporate HR services.

 

Prior to his career in HR, Keng Kiat specialised in IT process design and deployment, helping MNCs transform their IT processes to best practices and trained IT Service Management practitioners to operationalise policies and processes. He also has expertise in Data Centre automation, application change management and mainframe systems support.

Keng Kiat is an ACTA-certified Adult Educator and holds a Specialist Diploma in Advanced Facilitation. As an IBM Recognised Teacher / Educator, he facilitated inhouse corporate training in topics such as leadership, diversity & inclusion, professional integrity and business communications. He is also a Design Thinking practitioner and has facilitated strategic planning interventions to support organisational transformation and operational excellence.

Public courses he facilitates include Workforce Planning, Job Analysis & Redesign, Performance Evaluation, Interview & Selection Techniques, Change Management and essential skills for L&D professionals.

Course Registration

  1. Interested applicants are required to register via the registration link. 
  2. Once we have received the registration and when the course is confirmed to commence, we will send out a course confirmation email to registrant and request for mandatory documents required for submission. 
  3. Once mandatory documents have been submitted, we will proceed to perform enrolment and application of SSG training grant on TPGateway. (for funded courses) 
  4. Once the above process is completed, we will prepare the invoice. 
  5. Once the invoice is generated, we will send it to participants.
