Outline

The Course is based on the strategies and approaches of HR analytics with key concepts and tools to surface key issues and provide directions and options to enhance people related decisions to achieve business results.


Objectives

In today’s highly competitive business world, people decisions and people related initiatives and programs are vital to make a difference in organisational capability to succeed. This 2-Day Short Course aims to provide learners with knowledge and skills for Human Resource Analysis capability to equip them in making important decisions relating to enhancing people’s capability which must be data-based and evidence-based using people related metrics and analysis.


Learning Outcomes

To define the business imperatives relating to HR matters that need to use HR data analytics that are aligned with organisational vision and strategies.

To define the types of business issues can be investigated using the necessary data collection frameworks with key business stakeholders.

To select and lead with appropriate components of different data analytics technologies and tools to support identified objectives for HR data collection and analysis aligned to business needs.

To determine and conceptualise the data framework which include availability, types, models, suitability and levels of HR data with impact implication and evaluation required for generation of insights to address identified business-related HR issues.

To define the business issues to be investigated using analytics with key business stakeholders and select appropriate analytics technologies and tools.

To provide leadership for analysing and application of analytics with appropriate methods of forming an effective data analytic plan for both internal and external data for business planning.

To evaluate and communicate the business impact and viability of the insights derived using appropriate visualisation methods and facilitate strategic prioritisation of business issues and new areas of focus that can be further analysed.

To determine Lead engagement efforts and application of best practices of analytics for future business planning with continuous improvement to the HR data collection and analytic processes.

  • 16 Hours (16-hours does not include lunch break for both days)

  • 09:00AM to 06:00PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break) *Registration commences at 08:30AM on the first day


Assessment Methods

The 2-Day Short Course focus on the Focal Topics as stipulated in the course.

 

There will be an Open Book Assessment conducted within the 2-Day Short Course.

 

This is to help trainees understand the absorption of Learning Outcome, a short assessment is given within the 2-Day Short Course (16-hours).

 

The purpose of the short assessment is to help the trainees to know their SWOT and does not guarantee the success/failure in the actual IHRP Certification Assessment.

 

Trainees must achieve at least 75% attendance and must have passed the competency assessments to attain the Statement of Attainment.

Application for SkillsFuture Credit

  • Upon receipt of the tax invoice, trainees will need to log in to the SkillsFuture Credit portal to apply for SkillsFuture Credit and upload the tax invoice.
  • Take a screenshot of the approval with the amount applied for and the word ‘approved’ and email it to the Training Provider before the commencement of the course.
  • The Training Provider will collect the NETT fee (i.e., less the SkillsFuture Credit amount) from the trainee if there is still a remaining amount payable.


Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

  • NTUC members enjoy UTAP* benefit of up to $250 each year when you sign up for the 2-Day Short Course.
  • *UTAP supports 50% of the course fees paid cap at $250 per year. Trainee must be a union member throughout the course duration and at the time of claim. The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) encourages employers to invest in enterprise transformation and capabilities of their employees. Funding Criteria

  • Trainees must attend at least 75% of the course, complete the assessment with a pass or competent result.

Award of Certificate

Thomas Yeo

Thomas is an experienced workforce development specialist with more than 18 years of experience in human capital development and continuing education and training (CET) sector. He started his own specialist consulting firm with like-minded partners in June 2014, and currently serves as the Principal TVET and HRD Consultant at CET Global Pte Ltd that provides enabling solutions in areas of competency-based human resources development and productivity improvements, developing and establishing HRM and HRD systems.

 

Thomas was the Project Director for various enterprise HRD projects as a Registered Management Consultant and Productivity Consultant. He helped enterprises improve their business processes, plan for organisation development and value creation through customer-centric focus. He adopts the “Design Thinking” methodology in analysing, developing and implementing HRM and HRD systems and process. With the introduction of Skills Frameworks in Singapore, he helped a number of companies adopt Skills Frameworks in their HRM system and practices, such as developing talent and people capability through a systematic approach of skills identification, talent development, learning and development, and performance management.

 

As an Adult Educator, Thomas enjoys sharing of knowledge and skills learners, peers, and industry practitioners. He is currently an Associate Faculty Lecturer with the Singapore University of Social Sciences and Singapore Human Resources Institute Academy teaching HRD topics at the postgraduate level, and an Associate Adult Educator with the Institute for Adult Learning training industry practitioners to be curriculum developers and facilitators via the WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education. He is an Adult Educator Mentor with the Institute for Adult Learning, where he coaches and mentors aspiring new adult educators to reach their full potential. Thomas also conducts corporate and public workshops on A.I. and Data Science in Human Capital Development, Leadership, People Development, Critical Thinking, Productivity and Value Creation, and speaks at conferences worldwide.


IHRP CPD Hours

On completion of this course, trainees will earn 18 HR-related Training Hours/CPD Hours that can be applied towards Application for or Renewal of IHRP certification.

  2. Once we have received the registration and when the course is confirmed to commence, we will send out a course confirmation email to registrant and request for mandatory documents required for submission.
  3. Once mandatory documents have been submitted, we will proceed to perform enrolment and application of SSG training grant on TPGateway. (for funded courses)
  4. Once the above process is completed, we will prepare the invoice.
  5. Once the invoice is generated, we will send it to participants.
