Outline
The Certificate in Payroll Administration (CPA) is designed to cover the various methodologies, techniques, payroll administration systems, legal issues, statutory laws and latest trends. This course will also include a short demo session on the user-friendly architecture of payroll software so that participants can appreciate the functions of this software. Finance and HR professionals should understand and implement payroll administration to meet legal and organisational needs. It also trains payroll staff to manage their employees’ salaries and benefits, including their employers’.
Objectives
Comprehensive Understanding of Laws
Provide participants with a thorough understanding of the laws and legal issues surrounding employment and payroll.
Acquiring Salary Trends
Attain an in-depth understanding of the compensation components and the latest payroll administration trends.
Applying Correct Techniques
Apply correct techniques to manage daily payroll administration issues.
Proficiency in Payroll Concerns
Learn to evaluate and establish a computerised payroll system, including various payroll calculations and administration systems.
Payroll administration is usually performed either by HR, payroll, or accounts personnel. As organisations grow and industries become more competitive, people from other functional areas – fresh graduates as well as those in career transitions – should venture out and upgrade themselves to be proficient in this field of work.
It is important that the employees performing payroll administration can process the company’s payroll accurately and timely, plus they must also be able to manage questions from peers and management on employment related benefits and legislation requirements.
Who Should Attend
HR professionals and support staff who wish to understand and implement payroll administration to meet legislative requirements and organisation compensation operational needs. It is also appropriate for finance professionals and support staff who are responsible for payroll operations.
