The Certificate in Payroll Administration (CPA) is designed to cover the various methodologies, techniques, payroll administration systems, legal issues, statutory laws, and latest trends. This course will also include a short demo session on the user-friendly architecture of payroll software so that participants can appreciate the functions of this software. Finance and HR professionals should understand and implement payroll administration to meet legal and organisational needs. It also trains payroll staff to manage their employees’ salaries and benefits, including their employers’.

Payroll administration is usually performed either by HR, payroll or accounts personnel. As organisations grow and industries become more competitive, people from other functional areas – fresh graduates as well as those in career transitions – should venture out and upgrade themselves to be proficient in this particular field of work.

SHRI Academy’s Certificate in Payroll Administration (CPA) programme is specially designed to cover the various methodologies, techniques, payroll administration systems, legal issues, statutory laws and latest trends. It will provide participants with a good understanding of the statutory laws and legal issues relating to or affecting employment and payroll, as well as to cover the various payroll calculations, payroll administration systems, and latest trends. This course will also include a short demo-session on the user-friendly architecture of a Payroll Software – so that participants can view and appreciate the functions of this software.

It is important that the employees performing payroll administration is able to process the company’s payroll accurately and timely, plus they must also able to manage questions from peers and management on employment related benefits and legislation requirements.

IHRP CPD Hours

On completion of the CPA programme, learners will earn 40 HR-related Training Hours/ CPD Hours (excluding Examination) that can be applied towards Application for or Renewal of IHRP certification.

Length

  • The Certificate in Payroll Administration is a 2 months part-time programme that covers 40 training hours across 14 sessions.

Fundings available

No. of intakes

  • You may choose to join any of the 4 intakes available per year for this programme.

Minimum Entry Requirement

  • You have to be at least 16 years old with a minimum of 2 GCE “N” Level passes including Mathematics.
  • For matured candidates, you must be >28 years old with 3 years’ work experience.
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Timing

  • Lessons are conducted two to three times a week from 7pm to 10pm.

Minimum attendance

  • The minimum attendance would be 75% for each module.

Fees

  • The course fee for the programme would be SGD1,700.40 after 9% GST. There will also be a one-time application fee of $163.50.

IHRP CPD Hours

  • On completion of the CPA programme, learners will earn 40 HR-related Training Hours/ CPD Hours (excluding Examination) that can be applied towards Application for or Renewal of IHRP certification.
