Outline

At the end of the course, the participant will be able to understand fundamental HR knowledge based on IHRP Body of Competencies. He/she will be able to apply the knowledge in the implementation of various Human Capital and Organisational Development strategies by the company. The course will also better equip and prepare participants for IHRP’s Paper N Assessment which is part of the requirement to be a IHRP Certified Associate.


Objectives

This is a Preparatory course for IHRP Paper N Assessment. Targeting New and Aspiring HR professionals with less than 3 years of HR working experience who intend to register for IHRP Certified Associate (CA) certification. For more details, please visit IHRP website on IHRP-CA Certification.

Course Delivery

Course Delivery is made up of a combination of active learning, sharing, discussions, participation and hands-on exercises and short presentations of discussion outcome.

 

The approach will be to study the contents of the IHRP Body of Competencies and relate the applications of fundamental HR knowledge to it. Participants are encouraged to share their work-related experiences and relate these to IHRP Body of Competencies.

Assessment Method

The 1-Day Short Course focus on the Focal Topics of IHRP Paper N Assessment.

 

There will be an Open Book Assessment conducted within the 1-Day Short Course.

 

This is to help trainees understand the absorption of Learning Outcome, a short assessment is given within the 1-Day Short Course (8-hours).

 

The purpose of the short assessment is to help the trainees to know their SWOT and does not guarantee the success/failure in the actual IHRP Certification Assessment.

 

Trainees must achieve at least 75% attendance and must have passed the competency assessments to attain the Certificate of Completion.

Our Trainer

Daniel CS Chew


Daniel is a Senior HR Professional with IHRP, a certified Employment Agent, a DiSC Personality Profiler, has a (Bronze) certification in Kirkpatrick Evaluation Methods (NZ), holds a Service to Education (Silver) Award from MOE, attained a Teaching (Merit) Award from SUSS and is recognised with an Honorary Doctorate & Professorship in Business & HRM (UK).

 

Daniel holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, four Master Degrees, three Graduate Diplomas, two Diplomas, Two Teaching Certificates, and a First-Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His qualifications are:

 

Doctor of Business Administration, EIU, France. 2021 Master of Science (Industrial-Organisational Psychology & HRM), CUNY, USA. 2014 Master of Education with UWA, Australia. 2012 Master of Business Administration in HR Management [GPA:

A highly energetic Adjunct Lecturer, Daniel teaches 40 modules annually across several global universities and private educational institutes in Singapore.  He is multi-specialised in his teaching portfolio, these being [1] HRM: Compensation Design & Employment Legislation, [2] Logistics & Supply Chain, [3] Engineering Processes: Lean

Six Sigma & Statistics, [4] Industrial Psychology and [5] Education. To date, he has attained in excess of 12,900 teaching hours.

 

Daniel is a strong, analytical thinker & a disciplined learner. He is multi-specialised in HRM, Organisational Psychology, Business, Engineering, Logistics and Education. He has 20 years of experience in lecturing, training & consulting services. Daniel is due to release his second book soon, entitled “Employment Legislation in Singapore: Principles, Concepts and Calculations”.

 

Daniel is also a Corporate Consultant in OD/HRD, Compensation Systems & Logistics. He has more than 2,600 corporate consultancy and training hours to his credit. Daniel was the first few to work with WDA’s consultants to develop the Logistics Modules in the then new WSQ framework in 2007. He is also a small HR & Logistics consulting business owner and a certified Executive Recruiter.

 

Prior to these, Daniel served 22 years in the industry – started his career as an engineer, moved into project management, manufacturing, logistics operations, purchasing, supply chain & then diversified to Human Resource Management, Executive Search, Recruitment, Consultancy and Teaching. Before embarking on his Calling in teaching, Daniel was a Regional Director & General Manager.  Daniel’s industrial strength is in the width of diversity and depth of experience as a Strategic Organisational Leader, a Developer of Human Capital, an Industrial practitioner, an Engineer, an Educator, a Trainer & a Mentor.


IHRP CPD Hours

On completion of this course, trainees will earn 9 HR-related Training Hours that can be applied towards Application for or Renewal of IHRP certification.

  2. Once we have received the registration and confirmed that the course is set to commence, we will send a course confirmation email to the registrant and request the mandatory documents required for submission.
  3. Once the mandatory documents have been submitted, we will proceed with enrolment and apply for the SSG training grant on TPGateway (for funded courses).
  4. Once the above process is completed, we will prepare the invoice.
  5. Once the invoice is generated, we will send it to the participants.
