Employment Legislation & Industrial Relations

(Preparatory Course for Paper A)

Managing and harnessing the talent and industry of employees have become the cornerstone to achieving an organisation’s business goals. This starts with understanding the rights and obligations of the organisation as well as the employees under Singapore’s legal framework. Whether it be dealing with individual contracts or as a group through the representation of trade unions, it is pivotal that managers, front line supervisors and HR professionals have a working knowledge of employment laws and guidelines governing the employer-employee relationship.


HR Knowledge Fundamentals: Mindsets & Behaviours – A preparation for IHRP Paper B

(Preparatory Course for Paper B)

This is an intensive 2-day course to enable HR practitioners to be competent in the roles and responsibilities of a HR personnel throughout the HR Life Cycle of Plan, Attract, Develop, Engage and Separate in accordance with the IHRP Body of Competencies. The course is also designed for HR personnel to be better prepared for the IHRP-CP (Certified Professional) Assessment for Paper B.

Who Should Attend

HR professional more than 3 years of HR experience and responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and programmes to deliver HR services and operate the HR function. Consultants at an equivalent experience level whose work is directly relevant to HR are also eligible and 150 hours of HR related education or training.

HR Knowledge Fundamentals: Mindsets & Behaviours – A preparation for IHRP Paper B 

Course Delivery is made up of a combination of active learning, sharing, discussions, participation and hands-on case exercises and short presentations of discussion outcome. 

  

The approach will be to study the contents and the process of Emerging Technologies for Excellent Human Resource Service Delivery & Operational Excellence.  Participants are encouraged to adopt a higher level of learning to understand and apply what is learnt to tackle real life organisational scenarios. 

  

Interactive learning in the form of searching for information on the internet may be needed from time to time.  Hence, a laptop or tablet computer with internet access would be useful during the class time. 


Course Duration

  • 4-Day 

(a) 2-Day: Employment Legislation & Industrial Relations 

(b) 2-Day: HR Knowledge Fundamentals: Mindsets & Behaviours – A

preparation for IHRP Paper B 

  • 32 Hours (32 hours does not include lunch break for 4-day course) 
  • 36 IHRP CPD Hours (includes 4-hour lunch break in total for 4-Day)
  • 09:00AM to 06:00PM (inclusive of 1 hour lunch break) *Registration commences at 08:30AM on the first day for each course 

Assessment Methods

The 4-Day Short Course focus on the Focal Topics of IHRP Paper A Assessment and IHRP Paper B Assessment

  • There will be an Open Book Assessment conducted for each short to help trainees understand the absorption of Learning Outcome.
  • The purpose of the short assessment is to help the trainees know their SWOT and does not guarantee the success/failure in the actual IHRP Certification Assessment.
  • Trainees must achieve at least 75% attendance and must have passed the competency assessments to attain the Statement of Attainment (for Employment Legislation & Industrial Relations) & Certificate of Completion (for HR Knowledge Fundamentals: Mindsets & Behaviours – A preparation for IHRP Paper B).

Funding Criteria

  • Trainee must attend at least 75% of the course, complete the assessment with a pass or competent result. 
  • Trainee needs to key in the details as mentioned in the eRegistration Form and email the Mandatory Document(s) to the Training Provider. 

Award of Certificate

Participants must achieve at least 75% attendance and must have passed the competency assessments to attain the Statement of Attainment & Certificate of Completion.

Course Registration

  1. Interested applicants are required to register via the registration link -  https://form.jotform.com/222280930639457.
  2. Once we have received the registration and when the course is confirmed to commence, we will send out a course confirmation email to registrant and request for mandatory documents required for submission.
  3. Once mandatory documents have been submitted, we will proceed to perform enrolment and application of SSG training grant on TPGateway. (for funded courses)
  4. Once the above process is completed, we will prepare the invoice.
  5. Once the invoice is generated, we will send it to participants.
