Corporate Membership – membership is held by the organisation rather than an individual and is registered under the corporate email. It incudes a set number of employee slots, which are transferrable if someone leaves, so benefits continue without interruption.
Individual Membership – members may register with their personal email for personal use; membership will remain with you even if you leave the organisation. SHRI offers two categories of Individual Membership that you may apply for based on your qualifying criteria: Associate or Professional Member.
You certainly can! You can select multi-year membership terms directly within the renewal application form. If the specific duration you are looking for is not listed, please reach out to us at membership@shri.org.sg and our team will be happy to assist you.
Professional Members will be receiving notice of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) no less than 28 consecutive days before the date of the meeting. At least 20% of the Professional members shall be present at the commencement of the AGM to constitute a quorum. Professional Members attending the meeting have the right to vote during the AGM.

The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) is a structured, full-time training programme designed to equip mid-career individuals with foundational HR knowledge and skills. It is suitable for those not yet attached to a company and qualifies for SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance.
The Career Conversion Programme (CCP), on the other hand, requires a committed employer to hire the participant and provide On-the-Job Training (OJT). CCP is workplace-based and subject to employer availability and hiring requirements.
You may have been recommended to register for SCTP because:
- There is no immediate job match or hiring employer under CCP.
- You may benefit from training first to strengthen your job readiness.
SCTP does not guarantee job placement, but SHRI offers career support such as enrichment sessions and networking events to connect participants with potential employers.
No, this programme is not mandatory for employment. However, it helps mid-career professionals acquire relevant HR skills to improve employability. SHRI supports participants with career development and networking opportunities.
No guaranteed placements are offered. SHRI enhances employment readiness through training, career workshops, and events to raise participants’ visibility with potential employers.
No, SCTP is not a prerequisite for CCP. However, it can enhance your skills and readiness for HR roles and improve your chances for future CCP opportunities.
Yes, as long as you have not attended the exact same course (same course title and course number), you may register for SCTP.
To qualify for the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance, you must have earned income in the 12 months before the course starts. The allowance is 50% of your average monthly income, capped between $300–$3,000/month, and paid via PayNow (linked to NRIC).
If you have already attended HR-related training, it is generally not recommended to take SCTP again. However, you may
still be eligible to apply for CCP – Human Capital Professionals, and SHRI will inform you about career and networking events to improve your employability.
Yes, companies participating in CCP must provide OJT. SHRI is actively engaging employers to increase placement opportunities for suitable candidates.
CCP requires a hiring company to commit to providing you with employment and OJT. SHRI supports this process by sourcing employers, reviewing applicant profiles, and helping to match suitable candidates. Placement is not guaranteed and depends on employer needs and candidate fit.
Participants are not paid a salary during the SCTP, but eligible Singaporeans may receive the SkillsFuture Mid-Career
Training Allowance, which supports income during training.
