About the Winning With People Series
Winning with People is SHRI’s flagship thought leadership and engagement series that brings business and people leaders into the same conversation. Anchored in real-world organisational challenges, the series focuses on translating people insights into practical, business-relevant decisions.

The series is grounded in a simple but often overlooked truth:
People decisions are business decisions

Session Details

In line with International HR Day, Winning with People: When 1 + 1 = 3 invites you to rethink how value is created across the employee lifecycle, and how intentional people decisions can multiply its impact.

Organisations often approach hiring, engagement, and separation as distinct stages, each managed and measured in isolation. But value is rarely created at a single point. Leading organisations recognise that value is built across the entire employee journey.

When hiring is intentional, engagement is meaningful, and separation is handled with dignity and foresight, organisations do not just retain value. They multiply it.

This is when 1 + 1 = 3.

What You’ll Explore

Hiring: From Talent Acquisition to Value Creation
Move beyond hiring for skills alone. Identify complementarity, potential, and how individuals can amplify team performance from day one.

Engagement: From Employment to Enablement
Build an environment where people are connected, empowered, and able to contribute beyond their individual capacity.

Separation: From Exit to Enduring Value
Managing exits with intent and dignity to preserve relationships, reputation, and long-term value.
