Calling HR & Business students!

The SHRI HR Hackathon 2022 is back for its 5th year running and after two years of holding it virtually, we are finally going to have it in person this year! This interactive annual event aspires to bring established HR leaders in innovation and development and young HR leaders of tomorrow together. Participating teams with their balloted challenge statements will be encapsulated in a month-long preparatory training and mentoring sessions leading to their presentation showcase on 22 and 29 October 2022.

Businesses have had to evolve and upgrade in order to stay afloat after the pandemic. In return, human resources departments have also reshaped their dynamics to be more than just simple administrative work. Pandemic-driven changes in work models have created a range of challenges and opportunities, including how best to attract, retain and engage employees and offer people the value and purpose they now expect from work. With this year’s theme of “Future of HR – Adaptation to Transformation”, we invite students to hack work challenges provided by sponsoring companies.

The challenge statements will focus on different aspects of HR from transforming workplace culture and workplace transformation to the prominent surfacing issues. Each participating team will be evaluated based on Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Mentors from the companies will guide them through this one-month process.

Organised by the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), it offers students an insight into the changing landscape of today’s workforce and workplace that has been affected by the aftermath of the pandemic and how HR can partner with their organisations in ensuring business growth. Students will be given guidance and training on Digital Apps and Skills, What is Talent Acquisition & Talent Management, and What is DE&I to tackle the case statements.
