During this pivotal time, SHRI continues to play a critical role in leading conversations on people-centric practices, both in Singapore and across the region. I look forward to working closely with the Council, Secretariat, and Members to drive meaningful progress in the years ahead, both for Singapore and for the people profession we serve.”Ms Low Peck Kem, President, SHRI.

Mr D N Prasad
SHRI also extends its heartfelt appreciation to Mr D N Prasad for his unwavering leadership as President over the past 2 years. Under his guidance, SHRI has strengthened its standing as a trusted institution for progressive people practices and workforce transformation.

During Mr Prasad’s tenure, SHRI has achieved new heights. Among the highlights were strengthening the ecosystem partnerships, forging stronger collaborations with public agencies such as Workforce Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore, hosting World HR Congress (WHRC) in Singapore after 18 years, and introducing new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives like the Fill A Bag, Fill A Tummy. Mr Prasad has also provided SHRI thought leadership on the next bound, which will be carried forward by the new council.

In his address at the annual AGM, Mr Prasad expressed his gratitude; he thanked the Secretariat, the council and the partners for the collaboration and trust during his tenure as President.

Redesignation of Mr Alvin Aloysius Goh
In conjunction with this leadership transition, SHRI is also pleased to share that Mr Alvin Aloysius Goh, previously serving as Executive Director, will now take on the newly established role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This redesignation reflects SHRI’s evolving vision and mission to shape the future of people management – beyond HR, beyond Singapore. As CEO, Mr Goh will continue to lead the Institute’s transformation journey, building strategic partnerships, expanding SHRI’s regional presence, and positioning it as a trusted voice in the future of work.
