HR PRACTICE AWARDS

Coaching and Mentoring (New)

This category recognises organisations’ initiatives to build a coaching and mentoring culture; bringing out the best in their people around and drive development, retention and efficiency in the workforce through effective coaching and mentoring strategies.


Digital Transformation (New)

This category recognises organisations who has adopted digital transformation such as data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) etc. to changing operational HR & Business processes to become automated and data-driven. Beyond automation, digital transformation creates an all-in approach with improved business agility, intelligent services and skills of a diverse workforce.

Diversity & Inclusion (New)

This category recognises organisations that implement programmes to promote an inclusive culture within the organisation and also externally where individuals can thrive. It is about creating an environment and practices where individuals can be themselves and be supported to work at their best. It is about knowing and going beyond the basic legislative and compliance requirements to create and implement approaches that ensure individuals flourish, whilst also enabling organisations to fulfil their responsibilities.


Employee Engagement

This category recognises organisations that have adopted a holistic approach to employee engagement and demonstrated agility in fulfilling the changing needs of their employees at all levels as well as ensuring alignment with wider business objectives. Going beyond perks and rewards, organisations should illustrate how they achieved higher level employee engagement that has impacted the overall business performance. Entries should also include success in initiatives to give recognition, create meaningful work, cultivate a sense of belonging, trust, and having an internal communications strategy to facilitate discussions and surface opinions.

This category recognises organisations that implement programmes which help employees achieve effective quality work life balance to increase employee satisfaction, productivity, performance and retention. It also seeks to inform employees of health-related issues and matters and at the same time, provide a platform and/or programmes that enable employees to have good physical and mental health.


Learning and Development (L&D)

This category recognises excellence in aligning comprehensive L&D strategies for current and future organisation needs as well as the training needs of the employees at all levels. Organisations should demonstrate how they facilitate a continuous learning culture where employees are proactive in enhancing their learning, knowledge and capabilities to drive business performance and improve their employability. Emphasis will be on the execution of programmes and its measurable success/impact on the employees and business performance.


Organisational Development & Design (New)

This category recognises organisations’ use and implementation of a systemic approach and application of behavioural science to drive organisation performance. Organisations should demonstrate the process of aligning the structure of its organisation with its objectives, with the ultimate aim of improving efficiency and effectiveness.


Strategic Workforce Planning (New)

This category recognises organisations that implements Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) to support and drive organisation performance with their business needs. Organisation should demonstrate the alignment of the human capital needs with business objectives and aim to have a workforce with the right size, shape, cost and agility.


Talent Management (encompassing total rewards) (New)

This category recognises organisations that identify and retain talents within their workforce that meet their business needs and strategic goals by gathering and using their workforce data to understand the talents within the organisation. I.e. What talent populations are needed, and the identification of individuals who are particularly valuable to the organisation in order to conduct succession and contingency planning. And by talent management, it also recognises the measurements and management of performance of employees and business, and how metrics are developed and used to improve and award performance.


Talent Acquisition (New)

This category recognises organisations’ initiatives in concurrently sourcing for talents through identifying, attracting, assessing and selecting the right candidates that fit the role at the right time and cost. This is done by using relevant workforce planning data with proper sourcing approaches and digital tools to reach out to a diverse candidate pool.

LEADING HR CHAMPION (Individual Awards)

CEO

This category is bestowed to a CEO who demonstrates the ability to support, champion and endorse effective and innovative HR practices (i.e. use of HR Tech, Data Analytic tools etc.) which addresses employee and organisational needs. The CEO should also illustrate personal leadership and integrity in driving diversity and flexibility in the organization.

The category is open to all individuals who have served the same industry and organisation for a minimum period of 3 years.


Leader

This category is bestowed to an individual who demonstrates outstanding leadership capability to oversee, conceptualise, initiate and implement innovative HR Practices (i.e. use of HR Tech, Data Analytic tools etc.). The candidate displays qualities of leadership in the highest professional manner to benefit the organisation. In doing so, contributes to the development of people who are closely integrated with the organisation’s business strategy.

This category is open to all individuals who have a minimum of 10 years of working experience in the HR field and have served a minimum of 3 years in the same organisation.


Practitioner

This category is bestowed to an individual with the ability to conceptualise and implement innovative HR practices (i.e. use of HR Tech, Data Analytic tools etc.) that address the issues of human capital management and development. It aims to position the HR function as an effective strategic business partner that contributes to the success and achievement of the organisations’ business strategy and goals.

This category is open to all individuals who have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the HR field.


Rising Star (Young Talent)

This category recognises budding HR executives who are committed to the HR profession by consistently contributing positive outcomes to the business and continually develop their skills and knowledge. The Rising Star is a strategic team player that enjoys tackling difficult challenges, is resilient in the face of setbacks and is capable of showing great resolve under pressure.

This category is open to all individuals who have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the HR field.

BEST ORGANISATION FOR CHAMPIONING HUMAN CAPITAL (Distinguished Awards) (New)

This category is a non-nominated Award. Award winners will be selected by the judges based on the submission from the HR Practices Award. The Award is bestowed to organisations that have achieved overall effectiveness in their HR and people management practices, thus contributing to the needs of businesses, the profession, employees, industry and the nation.

This category is open to the following types of organisations and will be judged and awarded respectively:

  • Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) & Start-Ups
  • Not-for-profit & Public Sector
  • Large Enterprises & MNCs
