Organised by Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), the long-awaited 15th Singapore HR Awards is finally here and has undergone a full revamp. The theme “Advancing and Recognising Human Capital” ties to the revision as the Awards will look at recognising and awarding Standards (Gold, Silver & Bronze) for constant Human Capital advancement. Besides the new format of the award, the revamp will showcase an introduction of several new categories!
2020 has been a significant year for the HR Profession. A symbolic year where HR Professionals have exhibited collective leadership to ensure that our workforce is safe, maintain the pace of productivity, transit our workforce through reskilling and upskilling, manage the remote working conditions of our people and all these done at an intensive pace. The 15th Singapore HR Awards Presentation Gala, set to take place in mid-year 2021, will serve as an excellent platform to recognise and celebrate HR’s effort, agility and resilience in 2020 amidst the pandemic.
The Awards enables HR professionals and organisations to share, showcase and celebrate successful experiences and initiatives so that best practices can be adopted and/or adapted to meet different business needs.
The Awards confers recognition to HR professionals and organisations as an employer and employee champion to bring out the best through sound and commendable HR and people management practices.
The Awards honours HR professionals and organisations for their outstanding contributions to HR in the workplace and workforce, i.e. quest in developing and championing excellent HR and people management practices that meet business and employee needs. They foster a great sense of pride and accomplishment amongst all in their organisations.
With the new format of awarding “Standards”, the Awards provides valuable insights and lessons on sound HR and people management practices, thus providing opportunities for all to further develop and improve themselves.
The Singapore HR Awards recipients are assessed across a set of stringent criteria by a panel of distinguished industry leaders.
OBJECTIVES OF AWARDS
The annual Presentation Gala provides a platform for the HR fraternity to come together and celebrate their achievements, showcase and celebrate successful HR initiatives and build a sense of shared identity and purpose.
Through the new format of the Awards, SHRI strives to recognise and award Standards (Gold, Silver & Bronze) for constant Human Capital advancement. The recognition of people managers for their increasingly critical responsibility as Singapore enters its next phase of transformation and the reinforcement of the importance of developing our most important asset (the human capital) remains as the fundamentals of The Singapore HR Awards. This is in line with the advancement towards an innovative and resilient workforce on the global stage.
The new format of the Awards will serve as a benchmark to organisations in understanding where their current HR practices stand and provide them with information on areas of improvement to further advance their HR practices.
FEATURING NEW AWARDS FORMAT
Organisations who attained a gold standard in a particular category signifies that their initiative had met 90% or more of the criteria of the category and showed significant results in the alignment with their business needs.
Organisations who attained a silver standard in a particular category signifies that their initiative had met 75% to 89% of the criteria of the category and showed good results in the alignment with their business needs.
Organisations who attained a bronze standard in a particular category signifies that their initiative had met 60% to 74% of the criteria of the category and showed some results in the alignment with their business needs.
