A key implied condition of any employment contract of service is an employer’s obligation to make the workplace a safe and healthy environment for its workers. The Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) are the relevant legislations that regulate safety and health in the workplace. Education and training on these pieces of legislation are vital to help the employer fulfill its obligation to its employees to operate in a safe and healthy environment.
This workshop provides participants with the necessary knowledge, competence and tools to ensure they discharge their responsibilities and accountabilities on safety and health effectively.

Noel Khng has more than 20 years’ experience in the Human Resources field. For 18 of the 20 years he worked for the Shell Group of Companies where he had taken on roles as a generalist as HR Manager for its Chemicals plant, as well as specialist roles in Recruitment, Staff Administration, Employee and Industrial Relations, HR Information Systems and Learning and Development.
Currently, Noel is an associate lecturer and consultant with a number of reputable institutions specialising in HR related programmes. He has also successfully developed numerous Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) HR related courses for the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA).
