Calling HR & Business students!

The SHRI HR Hackathon 2024 is back for its 6th edition! This interactive annual event aspires to bring established HR leaders in innovation and development and young HR leaders of tomorrow together. Participating teams with their balloted challenge statements, will be encapsulated to a month-long preparatory training and mentoring sessions on design thinking skills, leading to their presentation showcase on 15th May 2024.

In the ever-evolving realm of today's human resources landscape, companies are actively maneuvering through unprecedented challenges and embracing new opportunities. Skill-Based Hiring, Talent Acquisition, Upskilling, and Reskilling have emerged as pivotal themes shaping the future of HR practices.

This year's event, themed Navigating the Future Capital, invites students to explore and hack the pressing workforce challenges presented by forward-thinking sponsoring companies. The focus will be on addressing the intricacies of Skill-Based Hiring, optimizing Talent Acquisition processes, and developing effective Upskilling and Reskilling initiatives. Join us in decoding the future of HR, where innovation meets adaptability, and where the workforce is not just hired but strategically cultivated for success in the ever-changing landscape of the modern workplace.

The challenge statements will be a focus on different aspects of HR from transforming workplace hiring practices and workplace transformation to the prominent surfacing issues. Each participating team will be evaluated based on Skill-based Hiring, Talent Acquisition and Upskilling & Reskilling and its impact on the organization's recruitment, training, and development efforts. Mentors from the companies will guide them through this one-month process.

Organized by the Singapore Human Resources Institute, it offers students an insight into the changing landscape of today’s workforce that has been affected by the aftermath of the pandemic and how HR can partner their organization in ensuring business growth.
