Mr. Adrian Tan, Regional Leader - Client Solutioning APAC (PeopleStrong)

Adrian is the Regional Leader - Client Solutioning APAC at PeopleStrong, an India-based  Enterprise HR SaaS platform. With over 15 years of HR entrepreneurial experience, he had 

won two HR Vendors of the Year award and is the recipient to SHRI HR Entrepreneur of the 

Year in 2013. He is the creator of Singapore HR Tech Market Map and is a jobs commentator 

on ChannelNewsAsia.


Ms. Angelina Chua, Group Head of Human Resource (Yeo Hiap Seng)

Angelina Chua is the Group Head of Human Resource at Yeo Hiap Seng, a global listed food 

and beverage company. She is a global fellow of The Wharton School; a certified global talent management leader; and a senior professional with the Institute for Human Resource Professionals. 

She has almost two decades of dedicated human resources experience, managing human resources in the Asia Pacific region, US and Europe.

Mr. Daniel Chia, Head of Human Resources (Samsung Asia Pte Ltd)

Daniel Chia is an experience and passionate HR practitioner who is now heading the overall 

HR functions for Samsung Asia Pte Ltd. He was previously the Head of HR and Corporate 

Affairs for Carlsberg Singapore, HR Manager & business Partner for Nestle Singapore and a brewing technologist with Asia Pacific Breweries.

He has a NUS BSc-Applied Science majoring in Food Science & Technology, as well as a 

Certified trainer with IPMA UK and certified coach with ICF. He has recently achieved the 

iHRP Certified Professional.

Mr. Leong CheeTung, Co-founder & CEO (EngageRocket)

CheeTung is committed to bring the same level of analytics, sophistication, and scientific 

rigour to managing people as is currently applied to managing finance and customers. He is 

the CEO of EngageRocket, an HR tech startup that helps to automate employee experience insights across the lifecycle of each employee. 

Before becoming an entrepreneur, he was Regional Director of Gallup in Southeast Asia. He 

read Economics at the University of Cambridge, and has an MA in Political Science from Columbia University under the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship (SAFOS).

The HR Hackathon is back for its 2nd year running in Singapore! 

Organised by the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), the HR Hackathon offers students a unique platform to develop an interest in HR and implement related solutions in the HR sector.

Our theme Future of Work designed by Future Workforce, calls for practical and innovative solutions designed by students entering the workforce. We want to know what the future workforce are expecting and their creative ideas to solve today’s real-life work issues.

With guidance by industry experts as mentors, participants will be expected to solve real life HR challenges provided by our community partners.

Open to: Polytechnic, ITE & University students
