To provide an updated overview of the emerging trends of technology-driven human resource management or commonly known as e-HRM to meet the changing needs of new Human Resource Service delivery. As technology becomes more prevalent and cost-effective, many HR services and delivery methods cannot do without HR technologies and related practices. However, many HR professionals, especially in the SMEs, have yet to embrace HR technologies and related practices.

The course aims to bring these HR professionals to the level of foundational HR technology savvy level to take advantage of the trends that will revolutionise the Digital HR world to help maximise human potential and gain business competitive advantage. This is also vital in the journey of becoming a smart nation with the permeation of technology driven management tools.

Course Objective

The 2-day short course explores and evaluates the various Emerging Technologies that affect the effectiveness and efficiencies of human resource service delivery.
The course aims to deliver effective HR services in a cost efficient manner through an optimal and customer-centric service delivery operating model.

The learners shall acquire knowledge to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of service quality or costs, implement HR Transformation programmes to enhance productivity and cost efficiency, adopt a service-oriented mindset and people-centricity in dealing with internal and business stakeholders.

Derek Tan

Derek TAN is a IHRP Master Professional with more than 25 years of professional experience in the entire suite of HR & OD functions including the design and development of change management, talent management, performance management, career development, capability development and total rewards systems.

His extensive work experiences in the public and private sectors include core values alignment initiatives, rationalising manpower costs through organizational design, job redesign and workforce productivity measures, enhancing the company’s’ learning culture through inception of virtual learning academies with competency roadmaps & priority frameworks, improving employees’ UX through digitalisation of HR processes, raising the company’s EVP through deliberate HR policy re-think and career & salary re-design, and strengthening HR governance through education & continuous assessment.

Derek is an ACLP-certified adult educator who is passionate about helping people to grow their careers and enable companies to equip their workforce. Since entering the training & consultancy field in 2021, he has successfully trained hundreds of people in HR Management & Organisation Development.

Trainee must attend at least 75% of the course, complete the assessment with a pass or competent result.

SkillsFuture Credit

For self-sponsored Singapore Citizen age 25 years and above

Self-sponsored applicant can use the SkillsFuture credit to offset the course fees by applying through https://www.skillsfuture.gov.sg/credit

Trainee can check their credit balance and transactions via https://www.skillsfuture.gov.sg/credit

Application for SkillsFuture Credit

Upon receipt of email confirmation, trainee will need to log in to SkillsFuture Credit portal to apply for the SkillsFuture Credit and upload the email confirmation & Tax Invoice.

Take a screen shot of the approval with the amount applied for and the word ‘approved’, scan and email it to Training Provider before commencement of the course and upon making fee payment.

Training Provider will collect the NETT Fee (i.e. less the SkillsFuture Credit amount) from trainee.

The receipt that will be issued to trainee will indicate an outstanding amount (i.e. the SkillsFuture Credit amount) which Training Provider will claim from SkillsFuture Credit after the successful completion of the short course.

The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) encourages employers to invest in enterprise transformation and capabilities of their employees. Eligible employers will receive a one-off S$10,000 credit to cover up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses on qualifying costs for supportable initiatives, over and above the support levels of existing schemes.

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

NTUC members enjoy UTAP* benefit of up to $250 each year when you sign up for the 2-day Short Course – effective up to March 2025 for self-sponsored NTUC members.

*UTAP supports 50% of the course fees paid cap at $250 per year. Trainee must be a union member throughout the course duration and at the time of claim. Trainee must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and have sat for all prescribed assessment. Other terms and conditions apply.
