Press Release: Singapore Human Resources Institute Announces New Council Members and President for 2023 – 2025 Term

Singapore, March 31, 2023 – The Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new President and council members for the term 2023 – 2025. The newly appointed leaders bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise that will help SHRI advance its mission of developing and professionalising the HR industry in Singapore and beyond.

Mr. D N Prasad, Senior Director for Strategy, People, and Organization with GovTech, has been appointed as the new President of SHRI. With over 24 years of experience, DNP has held key leadership roles at Infosys and Google, and founded his Exec Coaching and Talent Advisory practice, Noetic Step. His contributions to the HR profession have been recognized with several awards, including the Best HR Leader in the Tenth Annual Singapore HRM Awards, 2013 and more recently, a recognition as one of the Top 100 HR Influencers /Leaders in South-East Asia by ETHRWorld in their Inaugural Top 100 HR Icons listing.

He has previously served as a council member of the SHRI and is committed to promoting the highest standards of HR practices, research, and lifelong learning. His appointment as the new President of SHRI is a testament to his leadership and passion to contribute to our profession

In addition to the new President, the SHRI has also appointed the following council members for the 2023-2025 term. The newly elected council members are:

  6. Lawrence Tan, Director of Human Resource, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)
  7. Lucy Tan, Chief Human Resource Officer, NatSteel Holdings Pte Ltd
  8. Low Peck Kem, Chief HR Officer and Advisor (Workforce Development), Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office
  9. Rebecca Loke, Senior HR Director, Sanmina-SCI Systems Pte Ltd
  10. Sabrina Loi, Chief Officer/Organisational Excellence & International Partnerships & Dean, ITE
  11. Sam Neo, Founder and Chief People Officer, People Mentality Inc
  12. Sarojini Padmanathan, Director of Professional Board Administration and Cell Therapy Facility, Health Sciences Authority

Under the new leadership, SHRI plans to continue driving industry standards through research, lifelong learning, and professional development. The institute will also focus on raising awareness of HR issues and promoting best practices through advocacy and outreach.
