Graduation – Guidelines/Criteria for Awards

 1. Certificate of Commendation

  • For the graduate with the best performance in each intake of Basic Certificate and smaller Certificate programmes g. CPA, CAP, ACAP, SC and ProfBCP/SS.
  • There should be at least 10 graduates in each intake before a Certificate of Commendation is
  • If there is less than 10 graduates for each intake, then consider combined
  • If there is still less than 10 graduates after combining intakes, there will be no award for Certificate of
  • Marks from supplementary examinations (with grades of ‘P’ or ‘@’) and re-module (with grades of A@ / B@ / C@ / D@) will not be taken into consideration for the

 

2.  Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards

  • For the top 3 graduates in each intake of the Certificate to Postgraduate Diploma
  • There should be at least 15 graduates in each intake before awarding 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze
  • If the number of graduates in each intake is small, then combine
  • Assume after combining intakes, there is still less than 10 graduates, there will only be 1 award – Gold
  • Marks from supplementary examinations (with grades of ‘P’ or ‘@’) and re-module (with grades of A@ / B@ / C@ / D@) will not be taken into consideration for the

 

 3. Mike Gorrie HRM Award

  • For the graduate with the highest score amongst ‘A’ grades for the HRM module in each intake of DipBHRM, PGDipHCM, PGDipT&D, PGDipTM, PGDipODC, PGDipOrgPsy, PGDipRM &
  • There should be at least 15 graduates in each intake before awarding the Mike Gorrie HRM
  • If the number of graduates in each intake is small, then combine
  • Assume after combining intakes, there is still less than 10 graduates, there will be no award for Mike Gorrie HRM
  • Marks from supplementary examinations (with grades of ‘P’ or ‘@’) and re-module (with grades of A@ / B@ / C@ / D@) will not be taken into consideration for the

 

NOTE:
Effective 9 May 2013, there will be no issuance of Book Prize, Learning Voucher and Plaque for Medalists. This applies to:

  • GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE AWARD
  • MIKE GORRIE HRM AWARD
  • CERTIFICATE OF COMMENDATION

Criteria for the Awards remains unchanged.
