Our first key conference of the year, SHRI Outlook 2016: Gearing for the Region on 24 February, will set the tone for a revitalised calendar of events ahead. Next on the agenda will be our 50th Annual General Meeting on 22 March at SHRI, the last AGM to be held at this premise. I am also pleased to announce that we will be launching a slew of members’ only events, including monthly membership engagement sessions from March onwards. Read more….
2016 will commence with the Achieving ROI Certification programme from 25 – 29 January. SHRI also looks forward to expanding our outreach in the Asia Pacific region and taking our key events regional next year. On 3 & 4 November, SHRI played host to the 4th APFHRM Regional HR Conference. Themed The Future of HR: Insights into HR in Asia, it was the first time the event was held in Singapore, bringing together members of the APFHRM (Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management) and the WFPMA (World Federation of People Management Associations) from 22 countries around the world. Last April, SHRI launched the National Workplace Happiness Survey (NWHS) 2014. The survey derived the first National Workplace Happiness Index for Singapore, which can serve as a benchmark point for future studies. The NWHS 2015 will be launched on 23 July. Read More..

SHRI’s tribute to Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
Singapore mourned the passing of its founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, who passed away in the early hours of 23 March 2015. He was 91.
His key message on the driving force behind Singapore’s success was simple: “The quality of a nation’s manpower resources is the single most important factor determining national competitiveness. It is the people’s innovativeness, entrepreneurship, team work, and their work ethic that give them that sharp keen edge in competitiveness.”
SHRI’s efforts towards powering human capital in Singapore will continue to be inspired and touched by his life and achievements. Read more..

At the SHRI HRD Conference on 11 November, the National Workplace Happiness Survey 2014 results revealed that the Overall Workplace Happiness Index is 59 – which falls into the band of “Under Happy” (Index 51-67 out of 100). Read more..
On 9th September 2014, SHRI hosted its 8th Annual Singapore HR Congress & Business-Connect Exposition (SHRC) at NTUC Auditorium. The SHRC 2014 served as a platform for discussing new directions in HR management practices in Singapore leading to Singapore’s Human Capital in 2030. Read more.
